Student Assistant Position
The Dean's Office Student Assistants are seeking a professional, hard-working addition to our team from the class of 2020.
The Dean's Student Assistants help coordinate and promote the Dean's Forum events, bringing high-ranking officials and leaders across many fields to speak to the SAIS community about their respective expertise. Student Assistants provide research and logistical support to the Dean, as well as to the Senior Fellows and Visiting Scholars. Finally, Student Assistants handle daily administrative tasks for the Dean's Office Suite personnel and staff.
As an Assistant, you will gain first-hand exposure to the inner-workings of the Dean's office. You act as a representative of the SAIS student body when meeting and greeting the Dean's esteemed guests. You will act as a research assistant to Senior Fellows and to the Dean for a variety of projects throughout the year. You will participate in strategy meetings with your student assistant colleagues to better improve the Dean's events series, as well as brainstorm on potential future speakers and events. The Student Assistants come from a wide variety of backgrounds and fields of study. We hope to add a dynamic and professional member to our team.
This is a paid, part-time job. Assistants can work from 10-19 hours per week in the Dean's office, including time assisting during the events.
