Student Researcher Position
Anne Applebaum, a Senior Fellow at the Agora Institute, is looking for a graduate or experienced undergraduate to help with historical research for a book on central and Eastern Europe in the 1980s and 1990s, as well as several related projects. The applicant should have some background in history or political science, and some experience with archival or library research. Knowledge of one or more of the relevant languages - Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Russian, German - is an advantage.
The amount of time can be flexible - between 10 and 20 hours per week - depending on the applicant's other commitments. The applicant will, to begin with, work in local libraries but there is a possibility of holiday travel.
Base can be either Homewood or SAIS.
