Kissinger Center Graduate Research Assistant Position
The Henry A. Kissinger Center for Global Affairs is seeking graduate research assistants to help establish and support the Center’s new initiatives. Established in October 2016, the Kissinger Center honors the extraordinary legacy of Dr. Kissinger as a scholar and statesman by promoting the understanding and application of history and geo-strategy to contemporary statecraft.
Responsibilities include: (1) assisting in the development of the Center’s future publication series focused on international order and strategy; (2) planning and organizing conferences, presentations by visiting scholars, and other Center-sponsored events; (3) conducting research in support of courses or publications by Center faculty and staff; and (4) assisting with administrative duties, e.g., organization of the Center’s records.
Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills, the ability to think critically and act decisively, and experience conducting scholarly research.
The role will require between 10-19 hours per week, with flexible hours, for the entire four-month semester. A continuation into the spring semester is possible depending on performance. Students will earn $15.00/hour. Applicants must be Johns Hopkins University students and eligible to work in the United States. International students are welcome to apply.
